Receipt Snoop is a consumer price-transparency service. It turns real shoppers' receipts into a shared pool of prices actually paid, keyed to real products, stores, times and places. That pool is the whole point: it is what lets one shopper see what an item really costs and what they can claim back when a retailer drops the price after the sale.
What it does
Scan a barcode and Receipt Snoop shows the range real shoppers paid for that exact item, drawn from their receipts rather than a list price or an estimate. Save your own receipts, by photographing the paper or forwarding the email, and it reads every price off them and keeps them safe.
The home page also shows a live strip of what shoppers are finding right now: recent items and the range people actually paid, drawn from the shared pool with no names attached. It fills as more real receipts come in.
Then it watches. Many retailers refund the difference if a price drops within a set number of days of your purchase, and most people never find out in time. Receipt Snoop notices, works out what you are owed, and writes the exact words to say at the service desk. You take it to the desk yourself; it never files anything on your behalf and never touches your money.
Three ways to get your prices in
Scan a barcode in the aisle
Point your phone's camera at the shelf barcode, or type the digits printed under the bars on a computer, and log what it costs today.
Photograph a paper receipt
Snap the till roll. Receipt Snoop reads every line and checks the sums against the printed total, and if it cannot read one cleanly it says so rather than guessing.
Forward an email receipt
Forward a retailer's emailed receipt to your own Receipt Snoop address. When the signature on the mail checks out, that receipt is the strongest evidence in the system, because the retailer sent it and nothing was altered on the way.
Whose side this is on
We work for you, and that is the entire business model. We do not sell your data to brands, retailers, brokers or advertisers. No brand can pay to change what you see; there is no advertising and no paid placement in any ranking. Every price is earned from proof: a scanned receipt, a verified email receipt, or a barcode read off the shelf and checked against another shopper who saw the same thing. No one can type a price into the app to move what other people see, which is exactly why the number can be trusted.
Delete means delete. One click removes your receipts, the lines, the discounts, the images and the sessions, and tells you how many records went. There is a real export, too.

Do I need an account to try it?
No. Scan a barcode on the home page and see what other shoppers paid straight away. An account unlocks the exact item, the full price history, and your own claims.
Does it cost anything?
It is free while the product is new, and there is no card required to start.
Do you need my bank or store login?
No. Receipt Snoop never asks for a bank or retailer password and does no scraping. The wallet holds loyalty card numbers and barcodes only.
How do you know what a lower price is?
Because someone near you scanned a real receipt that showed it. Every real receipt makes the next shopper's answer sharper.
